IMG_20140715_095211339I chose Zote soap for my laundry soap.

IMG_20140715_095233091We grated this bar of soap and it smells really good! We added it to water and melted it on the stove. I forgot to take a picture of the grated soap or when I was melting the soap!!

A Bouquet of Love Weddings By Design #4 Review

This is not the kind of book I normally read but it was very good.

This was my first Janice Thompson book! I think I would have liked to have read the other books in the series first!! You meet Cassia and her crazy greek family, when her father wanted their family to move to an island she was not happy about it.She wants to work with flowers, but is forced to work in the family’s sandwich shop. This is a fun and entertaining book of hilarity as he starts a feud with the Rossi family! But through all the mayhem she finds romance!!

From the Back Cover

She didn’t expect to fall in love–but roses aren’t the only thing blooming on Galveston Island

Cassia Pappas has found herself in a nearly impossible situation. She wants to spend her time immersed in her new job at a Galveston Island floral shop, arranging blooms and brightening occasions with her lovely creations. But her boisterous Greek family–especially her father–has other ideas. They’ve all relocated to Galveston to open up a new family restaurant located on the Strand–directly across the street from iconic pizza place Parma John’s–and they want Cassia’s full participation.

To make matters worse, as Cassia is trying to develop a strong professional relationship with Galveston’s premier wedding coordinator, Bella Neeley, her own father is intent on stealing all of the Rossi family’s faithful customers. Not exactly the best way to get into this former Rossi’s good graces!

Still, at least Alex, that hot delivery guy from the nursery, is always hanging around the flower shop . . .

I made a cart cover for my granddaughter!!

2- 1 1/2 yards fabric ( I used 2 different pieces of  polar fleece )

1 1/2 yards elastic

1 buckle

1 yard contrasting fabric

batting if you want a padded cover

I have also made them with cotton fabric with a batting in the middle!

I cut out strips to make a binding around the edge, and for the straps for toys.

cut a piece of elastic at about 1 1/2 yards!

I added a buckle to the webbing and this will be inserted into the slits you make on the back of the cover.

I also made a couple of pockets out of the contrasting fabric and sewed one on the front above the leg holes and one on the side for toys or bottles!!

these are the straps I made to hang toys on the cover.

I used this cute animal fabric that could be used for a boy or a girl. I have also made them out of paperdoll fabric for girls which was really cute.

You can see that I sewed a pocket on the front and one on the side of the leg holes!

This is what it looked like before I put on the casing for the elastic!

Pinning on the casing.

Threading the elastic through!

I also sewed some of the green polar fleece around the leg holes!

Here is the finished product! Maybe I can update with a picture of my granddaughter in it!!
